MIE Names New Executive Vice President

Fort Wayne, IN – January 29, 2013 – Medical Informatics Engineering (MIE), a web-based, health information technology solutions provider serving physicians, health systems and Fortune 500 organizations operating on-site employee health clinics, today welcomes a new Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Matt Hohman.

Hohman brings 15 years of legal experience in the technology and healthcare technology sectors specifically managing mergers and acquisitions, as well as regulatory and compliance structures for electronic medical record systems. As the newest addition to MIE's executive management team, Hohman will wear many hats – serving as MIE's primary legal officer, advising MIE's Board of Directors on corporate governance and compliance issues, serving as the Chief Privacy and Security Officer and contributing to various business development initiatives.

Prior to joining MIE, Hohman was a partner at Barnes & Thornburg, LLP and also served as MIE's outside general counsel for approximately six years. At Barnes & Thornburg, Hohman served as the co-chair of the firm's Healthcare Technology Practice Group where he regularly counseled technology providers and healthcare groups on regulatory and compliances issues relating to healthcare IT systems.

Hohman graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor degree from Huntington University and also received a master's degree from Indiana University. He received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he graduated cum laude, served as a managing editor of the University of Minnesota Law Review, and taught classes for the University of Minnesota Carlton School of Business.
