Wayne, Indiana — January 25, 2017 — Medical Informatics Engineering, an innovative developer of healthcare IT solutions for the ambulatory, occupational health and safety, and electronic patient engagement markets, today announced the appointment of William (Bill) A. Grana, Jr. to its board of directors, effective immediately.
Grana is a seasoned software and technology entrepreneur, including a 13-year stint as CEO of PureSafety, which was acquired by Underwriter’s Laboratories in December 2011 and rebranded as UL Workplace Health & Safety. Grana led the company’s aggressive growth and established it as the leading provider of workplace health and safety software solutions.
Grana successfully scaled a number of businesses as an operator, advisor and investor. His market experience includes workforce population health management, corporate safety, electronic medical records, clinical practice management, and a number of other healthcare IT segments.
Grana currently serves as EVP at HCTec, a clinical and revenue cycle focused healthcare workforce solutions provider. Bill also is a board member of Common Cents Systems, Emma, and Tennessee Industrial Electronics, and a former board member of Qualifacts. He is on the advisory boards of Wealth Access, ADS Security, and EnhanceWorks.
