Doug Horner
Co-Founder and President
Doug Horner conceived both WebChart and the
MedWeb network that enables healthcare providers to take advantage of
WebChart. As president and chief system engineer, Doug is responsible
for overall leadership across a broad range of activities, with special
emphasis on strategic planning, product development, and integration efforts.
Doug has worked in the software industry for nearly 12 years, building
expertise in systems, networks, and management. His experience in healthcare
technology over the past six years has enabled MIE to predict the impact
of intranets and other new technology on healthcare provision. Doug has
published several papers on medical technology, artificial intelligence,
and information systems. A former electrical engineering student at Purdue
University, he has presented his findings at Purdue, as well as other
organizations, including the Medical Group Management Association.
Prior to working in healthcare, he served as senior software engineer
for NBS Imaging, designing and implementing statewide systems for digital
management of drivers license information, and as Chief Software
Engineer of Medisys, Inc., a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based medical-office
software provider. Doug and Eric Jones joined forces to found MIE in 1995.

Eric Jones
Co-Founder and Chief of Operations
Eric Jones is responsible for the financial
and operational aspects of MIEs business. Prior to launching MIE
with Doug Horner in 1995, Eric spent seven years as operations manager
and systems support manager for Medisys, Inc., a medical-office software
provider located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His duties included negotiating
and maintaining the companys support contracts with its 75 largest
accounts. He was also responsible for coordinating all engineering functions,
including upgrades, new-customer installations, and integrating hardware,
software, and installation services into turnkey operations.
Earlier in his career, Eric also served as hardware manager for Synergistic
Business Infrastructures, where he supervised a technical staff that designed,
installed, and maintained various hardware platforms. He holds a B.S.
in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and an A.S.
in electronics engineering technology from ITT Technical Institute.

Peter Norder
Executive Vice President/Business Development
Peter is responsible for business development
at MIE, as the executive in charge of software implementation services,
sales, marketing, and VAR and Certified Selling Partner program development.
Peter’s career in database systems began in 1989, using enterprise
database marketing and profitability systems for the financial-services
industry. He created demographic, product-usage, and behavior-based predictive
models by marrying Geographic Information Systems data with customer-specific
information. Peter’s decision-support systems experience and knowledge
of the healthcare industry helps him optimize MIE WebChart implementations
while retaining the company’s focus on highly customized, client-driven
solutions.
Peter received a bachelor’s degree in commercial
marketing from Western Michigan University’s Haworth School of Business.
During his collegiate studies, Peter also focused on computer science
and biomedical engineering. He joined MIE in 2001.

Andrew Horner
Director, Technical Services
Andrew Horner is responsible for overseeing
the Technical Services division of MIE. The Technical Services staff delivers
outsourced information technology support, telecommunications services,
and network services. Since he joined the company in 1997, he has focused
his energies on helping MIE grow this core division based on a strong
client-service orientation.
Andrew manages the day-to-day activities of the technical-support staff,
maintains MIEs support contracts, and develops new business. He
is also MIEs lead technical consultant and has a very active role
in the design and deployment of new technologies within MIEs large
support-services customer base.
Prior to joining MIE, Andrew pursued studies in computer graphic design
and Web-page development at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort
Wayne.

Dave Juntgen
Director, Software Development
David has been a member of the core development
team at MIE since 1999, specializing in WebChart and WebChart PACS. This
has allowed him to serve as the primary link between MIEs software
engineers and the implementation specialists who work directly with clients.
David translates an understanding of detailed client needs into software
products customized to meet or exceed those needs. In addition to supervising
the software team, he is responsible for all HL7 (Health Level 7) and
DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) interfaces between
MIE and third-party vendors. As MIEs manager of product development,
David directs the efforts of MIEs programming staff-including research,
development, testing, and rollout of MIE enhancements-as well as integrating
MIEs User Advisory Board suggestions.
David joined MIE as a programming intern in 1999, while pursuing his studies
in computer science at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Bridget Hamm
Director, Implementation Services
Bridget Hamm is an implementation specialist
and project coordinator for MIEs core software product, WebChart.
She is responsible for the integration of MIE products into client enterprises,
managing post-implementation progress, and providing education and software
training for healthcare organizations employees, physicians, non-physician
providers, business associates, and other third-party providers. Bridget
also assists in product development, testing, and implementation of new
WebChart functionality.
Prior to joining MIE in 2002, she was director of medical billing for
a large physician group. She received her bachelors degree in organizational
leadership and supervision from Purdue Universitys School of Business,
also focusing on studies in computer science. In 2001, Bridget completed
the requirements of the American Academy of Professional Coders.
